The Woman
This song was written in memory of the three days of arrival and departure of Mary, as the Woman in my body.
Her spirit entered my body upon waking on 11th May until the night of 13th May 1987, when my head was pulled from the pillow to see her ascending in sparkling light through my bedroom ceiling.
She had left me and I was covered in water as though part of me had dissolved. I felt that this occupation may have been a dress rehearsal for a similar future event down the track.
She has twelve stars in her crown, and such simplicity of gown,
She’s the one who groans in labour, she’s the one who bore our Saviour.
She is Mary our mother, she appears in chapter twelve
She’s the woman of Revelation, of Fatima, a devotion dearly held.
A time is coming when this woman steps into time and comes to life.
She comes to point the way to Jesus, and steer us clear of earthly strife.
When she appears what mystery is revealed
At last I’ll know the outcome long concealed
When heaven meets earth the play has just begun,
Her Magnificat will be the song that’s sung.
She has twelve stars in her crown, and such simplicity of gown
She’s the one who groans in labour, she’s the one who bore our Saviour
